is the divinely inspired Word of God, without error in the original text and is the only true authority for Christian Faith and practice.
We believe in One God
existing eternally in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, each having exactly the same nature and attributes of God.
We believe the Father is fully God
His fatherhood is eternal and personal. He is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ and all who believe in Christ.
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God
and fully human, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of Mary when she was a virgin. He died as a substitute for all mankind and he rose bodily from the dead and ascended to heaven where He is now our advocate with the Father.
We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God
He dwells in every believer and by His baptism unites all believers into the body of Christ and seals them at conversion. Christ gave foundational gifts of the Spirit to the early Church and continues to give service gifts of the Spirit for the upbuilding of the Church. The Spirit progressively produces Christlike character in us.
We believe all people are created in God's image
The sinful nature of the human race started when Adam sinned. All people are sinners by nature and by practice and without God's intervention are lost eternally and will face the judgement of God.
We believe salvation is a free gift given by God
purchased by the blood of Christ and accepted by faith without good works. All who put their faith in Christ are pardoned and restored and become a child of God.
We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ
to take his Church to heaven. This will be followed by a period of great distress on the earth before Jesus Christ will return to reign for 1000 years. After this, God will create a new heaven and earth.
We believe all people will rise from the dead
to face God's judgement. The just will enjoy eternal life with God in a literal heaven and the unjust will suffer eternal punishment in a literal hell. Only by repentance and faith in Jesus and his work on the cross can we be justified in God's sight.
